Today's Treasure is about the “Light.”
When I found out that light is created within the deepest pockets of the stars themselves...that Einstein proved that when confined energy is released and accelerated beyond mass and matter, it turns into light, some bright lessons (not only of the celestial, but of the Divine nature) have gathered a momentum of their own for me. Throughout this whole website, you'll find literal as well as metaphorical references to light in its various expressions. On any level—from the scientific to the spiritual, “light” in whatever effulgence, always serves to uplift our lives. As I convey in my poem, “A Course In The Light Source,”
“...I would say that there's light,
and then there's Light...
and maybe light is the purest form of matter,
but I've come to know the purest form of Light.”
Earlier on in that poem, I refer to the visual beauty that's impacted my life:
“I'll admit, I'm drawn to the more dramatic
aspects...the sunset's streaks and strokes—
the blare of the dawn's yellow yawn.
And there's nothing better
than that unexpected prism popping up
on the ceiling...
or the rainbow surprisingly arched
with promise behind my back.
There have been times
when the Northern Lights flashed
above me in violet and teal tones
like magnificent butterfly wings
across the night sky.”
